CH2M Beca , successor to the previous engineers, upgraded the plant from to to improve nitrogen, BOD and suspended solids levels, with a change from chlorination to UV treatment and biogas and natural gas 1. A further 5 year upgrade started about expanding and improving the plant, including phosphorus removal.
